About the Furniture

Many of my designs are based on the principles of the American Arts and Crafts style. Others are inspired by design elements of other cultures.

The pieces are built with renewable source woods such as pine, Douglas fir, and birch plywood. Multiple layers of high quality paints and stains and numerous paint treatments are used to create color depth and interesting textures. Hand embossed copper is ?painted? with an acetylene torch to create warm, lustrous patinas. This embossed copper is overlaid onto the furniture piece, creating a unique functional art piece.
